AWRA-WA 2024 Fellowship Announcement The Washington State Section of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) is seeking nominations for its 2024 Fellowship Award. Three fellowships will be awarded for the 2023 – 24 academic year. One award will be to a member of a Washington Section affiliated AWRA Student Chapter. The other two awards will go to students enrolled in a graduate program at a college or university in Washington State. All fellowships are for a full-time graduate student completing an advanced degree in an interdisciplinary water resources subject. The award includes $2,500, a one-year membership in both the State and National AWRA, a one-year subscription to the Journal of the American Water Resources Association, and admission to the Washington State Section Annual Conference. Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on February 16, 2024. The Fellowship Committee will evaluate all applications received and will recommend recipients for the awards to the Washington Section Board of Directors. The Board may approve the selections as early as the April 2024 Board meeting. The winners will be notified as soon as the board approves the awards. Special recognition will be given to the fellowship recipients at a State Section event. Recipients will also be asked to prepare an article describing their research or other relevant topic for the Section newsletter within one year of the award.
